This programming workshop is designed for the absolute beginner. Participants will learn the fundamentals of Java programming language syntax that can be used for various applications. The syntax will cover declaring and using variables to create and use classes and objects. Several of the Java programming syntax learned will be demonstrated on a ROMI robot. Understanding how Java programming language is applied to a ROMI robot will give participants a leg up when programming an FRC robot that uses the same set of libraries (WPILib) as the ROMI robot.

This autonomous-only programming camp is for high school students who crave more time developing autonomous programs for their robots. During this one-week course, students will use Java programming language. They will have the chance to compete in 15-second and 45-second challenges with trophies on the line.
